Noor Riyadh 2024: Illuminating the Saudi Capital with Art and Light

Under the auspices of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City and Riyadh Art, the fourth edition of Noor Riyadh will transform the Saudi capital into a luminous hub of creativity from November 28 to December 14. Themed “Light Years Apart,” the festival features over 60 artists from 18 nationalities, presenting diverse works that blend visual art, sculpture, design, music, and photography.

Art installations will grace three key locations in Riyadh:

King Abdulaziz Historical Center: A cultural landmark showcasing exhibitions that connect Saudi heritage with contemporary art.

Wadi Hanifah: A natural escape offering serene landscapes for open-air art encounters.

JAX District: A modern arts hub known for galleries and cultural projects, ideal for contemporary artistic expressions.

This year’s theme delves into the interplay between Althara (the earth) and Althuraya (the sky), reflecting humanity's aspirations and connections. Artists such as Abdul Rahman Taha, Takeshi Yasura, and Kimchi and Chips will present new site-specific commissions, alongside creators from countries including the US, UK, South Korea, and Türkiye.
